The Haverford Animal Hospital would like to announce some of it's more recent upgrades.
- Vetcam XL Endoscope: Through advancements in optics and maginification we are now able to to veiw and treat abnormalities of hard to reach areas. You, the client are now able to join us in viewing our visual findings, whether shown on the live color monitor or saved as video prints. The endoscope allows us to diagnose and manage cases of ear and dental disease more effeciently and effectively.
- Diagnostic Electrocardiogram System: Many conditions can be diagnosed by performing an electrocardiogram (ECG). This system allows us to view the electrical activity of the heart. Thus, allowing us to diagnose and treat a multitude of conditions such as; arrythmias, cardiomyopathies and other non-cardiologic diseases. These diseases may have otherwise gone undetected through routine ascultation and radiographs.
- Radio Wave Surgery: Through ultra high frequency radio waves we are now able to provide specific and delicate tissue interaction during surgical procedures. This will allow for a decrease in intra- and post-operative pain, swelling and blood loss. It will also decrease the patients risk of infection and allow for a shorter recovery time.
- The ADS 1000: A computerized anesthesia delivery system. This machine monitors and delivers the amount of anesthesia necessary during surgery. The A.D.S. is also a ventilator which breathes for the animal, and prevents a loss of oxygen flow to the patient during a procedure. Both of these functions allow for a more level plane of anesthesia than offered by traditional anesthesia systems. The end result is a safer more efficient surgery.
- 500 MA Universal Radiograph Unit: This unit offers radiographs with greater clarity and more detail. A higher quality radiograph means a more definitive diagnosis.
